Hairstyling with any Hair Texture

Embrace your hair texture and you can create your best hairstyle. As every woman knows, there are times when you sit there and think that your hair isn’t right and just won’t work. In fact, my favorite line is that “I’m having a bad hair day.”

Beyond the quick-fix remedies with flat irons or curling irons, you can try to find another way to work with your natural texture. It’s not as hard as you might think!

If you have straight hair, what kind of shampoo should you use?

When it comes to straight hair you want to work with the shine of your hair as well as lifting the hair, and of course its overall movement.  Use a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner as well as a light-weight oil to increase your hair’s shine.

With wavy hair, you want to tousle your hairdo as much as possible, and you want volume at the root. You should air dry your hair to create more texture.  Now with curly hair, you have more options.  You can go with spiral curls, kinky, coiled, tight, or loose.  When working with curly hair, moisture is your best friend.

All of these looks can be achieved by adding a few products to your arsenal tailored to your specific type of hair texture.  The best part is it’s easy to work with your texture rather than against it!
